txAdmin First Run

txAdmin is included in FXServer. Start the server without +exec server.cfg to open txAdmin in monitor mode. The initial wizard configures your administrator identity and server profile.

1. Open txAdmin and enter the console PIN

Start FXServer.exe on Windows or ./run.sh on Linux. Open the address printed in the console (normally http://localhost:40120 locally) and enter the one-time PIN shown there.

If the panel is on a VPS, connect through a trusted VPN, SSH tunnel, or authenticated hosting panel. Do not expose port 40120 publicly merely to set it up.

  1. Select Link Account and authenticate with Cfx.re.
  2. Approve the authorization request.
  3. Create a backup password and accept the displayed applicable agreements to register the account.

The current wizard uses Cfx.re linking and a backup password. It does not ask you to create an unrelated local txAdmin username and recovery email as the primary setup method. Save the backup password securely.

3. Name and configure the server

  1. Enter a server name.
  2. Under Deployment Type, choose Popular Recipes.
  3. For a first working server, choose FiveM Basic Server (CFX Default). This basic recipe needs no database.
  4. Check the persistent data path and proceed to Recipe Deployer.

QBCore , ESX  and Qbox recipes may also be available, but require framework-specific setup and often MariaDB/MySQL. Their recipe contents can change over time. Start with the basic server or follow a framework-specific guide.

4. Register your server and run the recipe

  1. Review the recipe and continue to Input Parameters.
  2. Create a server registration key using Cfx.re Portal  (Generate Key → display name → Generate).
  3. Paste the key into the recipe parameter field and select Run Recipe.
  4. After deployment finishes, review the created server.cfg and select Save & Run Server.

txAdmin manages the profile. Avoid editing a different copy of server.cfg outside the selected txAdmin data location.

5. Test the result

  • txAdmin reports the server started.
  • Live Console shows no missing-license or failed-resource errors.
  • A local FiveM client joins (F8: connect 127.0.0.1:30120).
  • For remote players, port 30120 TCP and UDP is reachable through the host, provider firewall and router if applicable.

Do not interpret a loaded web panel as proof the game server is joinable.

If setup fails
