baseevents:enteringAborted
Context: server-side report, with no payload arguments. The stock vehicle checker emits this when its observed attempt to enter a vehicle stops without the player being in a vehicle. It is not a client-local notification in the reviewed implementation.
Use implicit source to clear only the reporting session’s temporary observation:
-- server.lua; entryAttempts is the map maintained by your entry observer.
local entryAttempts = {}
AddEventHandler('baseevents:enteringAborted', function()
entryAttempts[source] = nil
end)
AddEventHandler('playerDropped', function()
entryAttempts[source] = nil
end)Connect this cleanup to the same map used by enteringVehicle; a separate empty map in another file would not clear the real state. No vehicle, seat or network ID is provided by this event. Do not invent an argument or reuse an unrelated global vehicle handle.
Cancellation here describes the reported entry attempt, not an opportunity for your handler to cancel an engine action. Clear presentation/observation state, but never infer a refund or inventory change solely from a client-originated abort report. Test ordinary cancellation, disconnect and resource restart.
